    Resetting the OBC

Club Car uses an On Board Computer (or OBC) to monitor and control various functions of their carts. It functions as a Go/No Go control for the charging and drive systems. If the OBC detects a problem in either the charging or drive system, it will shut that feature off. When the fault clears, the OBC is supposed to reenable that system.

See pfd file for more information.

How to bypass the OBC. ( only when you're replacing your POWERDRIVE charger for an charger with timer)

Your Club Car has an on-board computer for the single purpose of turning on or off your Club Car charger. When the batteries are fully charged this computer tells the Club Car charger to remain off. Or when the batteries are in need of charging this same computer tells the Club Car charger to turn on.

We have replacement chargers who are fully automatic. those are mostly cheaper than the original CLUBCAR POWERDRIVE chargers. The microprocessor within the charger senses the voltage level of your Club Cars’ batteries and turns on or off automatically. The procedure to bypass your Club Car’s computer is simple and will take very little of your time. The diagram in pdf file gives a detailed visual of your Club Car’s setup and the only wiring needed to bypass your on-board computer.
